Mission Oak Storage Coffee Table

Laura & Dan asked if I would make them a coffee table as their wedding gift. I asked them what kind of coffee table they wanted and they asked me to recommend something. Garden Arbor

Mom wanted an arbor for her rose garden. I bought a bunch of 4x4s of construction-grade cedar and cut them down to 3x3s for the posts and used the off-cuts to make the lattice. Mission Oak Coffee Table

I built this table for myself. It was my second project and I learned a lot from my brother's father-in-law, Gary. He helped me do some trickery with the grain of the front apron and drawer face as well as the dovetails on the drawer. It's a great little table and we use it every day. Wouldn't change a thing.
